Just had a system installed in Dec. in my new house. Taste of water is great! Grew up drinking tap water in WV and this is first time I have been willing to drink tap water in over 25 yrs. Water is very clear and so far no residues on showers, sinks, or dishes. Filters are easy to change.
BUT, we have already had issues with media clogging up filters after the first filter swap of the pre-filter & the post filter. We discovered the clogging in the filters because we had a sudden and dramatic pressure loss in our house. In the matter of a few days, after the first filter change, water pressure was so week sprayers in shower wouldn't spray but rather they dripped. Also, plumber had trouble with first UV filter install. Glass outer tube broke and seems very delicate, found the second outer tube broken recently.
Overall I guess the jury is out if the system will be durable over time or not. But water taste is great.

We like the fact that the water is safer to drink out of the well, we opted for a custom unit that was very expensive and included arsenic filtration. Our problem is that the pre-filter gets full in 5 days. We lose pressure at that point and need to continually change the pre-filter. First experience with well.
I waited a year to install and the water quality results were more noticeable as to immediate install (IMO). Quality of water greatly improved.
Having continual trouble with UV head keeping quartz sleeve suspended to not leak water. Have by-passed this feature for now.

I have a spring fed well with a lot of minerals. The water unfiltered tastes very metallic. It stains laundry, sinks and toilets orange. My husband and his plumber friend installed the system in a few hours. I now have clean, clear GREAT tasting water! Because of my particular situation, I opted for an additional 20 inch pre filter. We change that and the 10 inch pre filter about twice a month. So far so good! Clean water is one of those things we take for granted until we don't have it. I can't express how happy I am to have good natural filtered water coming straight from my tap. No chemicals or contamination from public treatment plants to worry about. I would definetly recommend Aquasana to anyone looking to improve their water.
