EQ-304 sediment pre-filter replacement cartridge 4-pack, for use with the EQ-300 Rhino Whole House Water Filter.
The sediment pre-filter is used to prevent dirt and sediment particles from entering and clogging the main filter unit. This cartridge should be replaced every 3-6 months depending on water quality and sediment levels. Change when color darkens or water flow slows.

after one Month, the pre filter looked like a used coffee filter. As for in the house, my skin feels better, I've had to cut way back on laundry detergent (clean water cleans better!) and the phrase "hard water stains" makes me laugh! btw, I'm on city water. Highly recommand this product.

We loved the promise of a non-sodium water system that would allow us to retain some of the mineral rich quality without subjecting ourselves to the questionable health effects of reverse osmosis. Unfortunately, our water remains so rich in calcium, manganese, and magnesium that our dishwasher, sinks ,and toilets are coated in a white deposit and, at the advice or our Aquasana sales engineer, we replaced the main Rhino system AND added an secondary 3 micron post-filter but the problem remains and we are now concerned about the integrity of our pipes.

I purchased the whole house filtration system 3 years ago. We have really bad city water and it seems to have a lot of chlorine in the summer, indicated by a strong odor. An interesting thing is that once we started using the filtration system, our hair became softer and our skin not as dry. The only down side is that it doesn't get rid of fluoride (which is a toxic substance), but we added a reverse osmosis system under our kitchen sink which now removes the left over fluoride. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase and I think the price is very fair for what you get.

The water filter I received was damaged in shipment. I called Aquasana and they sent a replacement filter with no hassles, and no problems. I eventually used a plumber because I decided to go with copper pipes and fittings. The water has improved 100%. It tastes cleaner, it feels smoother, and I don't smell that chlorine odor that my water use to have. Overall, a good system, at a good price. I will continue using their products.

I did not check "uses lots of replacement filters" as a 'negative' as survey said. I think it is a positive (you know how bad the municipal water in Atlanta really is when you see the filter dirty up in days, not weeks)
