Aquasana CEO Appointed to Water Advisory Board

At Aquasana, our vision is to help families lead a healthier life by making clean, filtered water for use in all aspects of their lives easily accessible. We know water isn’t a luxury, it is essential to life; and clean water is essential to healthy living.

Aquasana is also very involved in giving back to the community. We normally do this through providing clean, filtered water for free at community events and by donating our time and money to national not for profit efforts aligned with our corporate objectives such as Marathon Kids.

Recently, an opportunity arose for me to combine these two objectives, and I jumped at the chance. I sought out and was appointed to the Integrated Water Resource Planning Community Task Force, a task force created to develop a long range water resource plan for the Austin community. What better way for an environmental engineer and CEO of a water filtration company to give back to the community, right? I am part of an 11 member board and we meet monthly. The meetings are long and the questions are hard.

It’s a new role for me so I can’t say I’ve made my mark yet, but that’s my goal. I want to be part of solutions in my hometown that will benefit generations to come. Water planning takes work and I don’t take this appointment lightly. I look forward to the challenges because I know the end result will be long lasting and crucial to life. Stay tuned for more updates to come.
