Is there any reason I can't put this remineralizer cartridge BEFORE the tank instead of after it?

What minerals are released in the remineralization process, and in what quantities?

I just purchased the Aquasana remineralizer replacement for my RO3 system and it leaks incessively even with the faucet off. A new one was mailed, but does the same thing. Is there tech support for this issue? The hoses are connected correctly.
