If the pre filter is changed every three to six months how often is the other filter changed?

It depends on how dirty the filter is. I would check it at 3 months and every month thereafter to find what is optimal for your water quality. If you see any type of dirt, algea or a slim build up, then it's time to replace the filter and clean out the casing, dry off the inside with clean paper towels ensuring that you are removing any biofilm. Also, don't forget to use vaseline on the rubber gasket before you reassemble the casing.

I need connection/the parts that connect system together replacement parts for the 1 million gallon system. the plastic threaded parts that screw in to the softener and filters. I have developed a leak a drip and no matter what I do it does not fix it.
