How to Make Fruit Infused Water: Recipes & Ideas

Infused water recipes you won't want to miss.

Whether you’re an introvert or an extrovert, arguably the best thing about parties are the drinks and snacks. We’re talking cheeses, breads, dips, popcorn, and anything that’s sweet, salty and savory.

And while we know the all-important rule of hydrating — whether you’re drinking alcohol or not — it’s even better to boost your water game and create fruit infused water and refreshments that your guests will love.

The Benefits of Fruit Infused Water

The benefits of fruit infused water are ten-fold. Adding certain antioxidant-rich fruits will help flush toxins from your body, aid in muscle fatigue, will help fill your stomach so there’s less room for over-indulgent snacking, can boost your metabolism, and will help shorten workout recovery time.

But more specifically, why is fruit infused water so beneficial? That’s because when you’re using clean, filtered water, you’ve already gone through the process of having chlorine and chloramines reduced, plus other contaminants, such as heavy metals like lead and mercury, chlorine-resistant cysts like giardia and cryptosporidium, VOCs and more. On top of that, you’re infusing your water with antioxidant-rich natural ingredients that contain vitamins and minerals your body craves.

Without further ado, here are some of our favorite infused water ideas.

Strawberry Thyme Infused Water

Because strawberries are high in Vitamin C, they’re great for regulating stress hormones and are known for their calming effects. This recipe is fairly simple to do if you’re in time crunch.  Copy of Strawberries (1)

Ingredients:

  • 6 diced strawberries
  • 4 springs of thyme
  • 4 cups of clean, filtered water

Combine ingredients into a pitcher and let steep for 2 hours to enjoy the full effect of the flavor.

Apple Carrot Infused Water

‘An apple a day keeps the doctor away’ isn’t a popular phrase for no reason; apples are rich in fiber, vitamin c, potassium, and vitamin k, which helps aid in weight loss, can lower cholesterol levels, are helpful for those suffering from gut inflammation, and can help fight asthma. And do we need to go into why carrots are so good for you? Carrots contain beta carotenes, potassium, and antioxidants. They aid in all the things that apples help with but have been shown to improve eye health as well.

Ingredients:

  • 2 diced apples
  • 1 chopped carrot
  • ½ sliced lemon
  • 4 cups of clean, filtered water

Combine ingredients into a pitcher and let it infuse overnight to enjoy the full effect of the flavor.

Grapefruit Jalapeño Infused Water

Grapefruit is low in calories but contains protein, fiber, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Potassium, Thiamine, Folate and Magnesium – it’s jam packed with healthy nutrients. These nutrients are known for aiding in appetite control, can boost your immune system and help fight insulin resistant. The list goes on and on. On top of that, jalapeños are rich in Vitamin A, C, Potassium and carotene, which helps with cellular restoration.

Ingredients:

  • ½ grapefruit
  • ½ chopped jalapeño
  • 4 cups of clean, filtered water

This recipe does not require that much time to fully infuse. Combine ingredients into a pitcher and let it infuse for one hour to enjoy the full effect of the flavor.

Cucumber Ginger Infused Water

Crisp and refreshing, cucumber and ginger is the latest trend in infused water. And for a vegetable that is so light, it sure does pack a ton of vitamins; Cucumber includes protein, fiber, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Magnesium, Potassium and Manganese which all go to promote hydration, aid in weight loss and lower blood sugar levels. Ginger on the other hand goes to treat nausea, regulates sugar levels, and acts as an anti-inflammatory, relieving joint and muscle pain.

Ingredients: Cucumber water

  • 1 lemon
  • 3 slices of ginger
  • 1/3 of a sliced cucumber
  • Handful of ripped mint leaves
  • 4 cups of clean, filtered water

Combine ingredients into a pitcher and let it infuse for overnight to enjoy the full effect of the flavor.

Enjoy Fruit Infused Drinks with Clean, Filtered Water

Your fresh fruit infused drink would be nothing without its main ingredient, clean, healthy water. Whether you’re using an under sink filter, a countertop filter, or a whole house filter, you can rest assured that you’re drinking water that reduces up to 99% of the 77 contaminants you most worry about, all while maintaining natural, healthy minerals for great-tasting water.

For example, the Aquasana 3-Stage Max Flow Under Sink Filter is NSF certified to remove over 97% of chlorine and chloramines. It also works to reduce heavy metals like lead and mercury, chlorine-resistant cysts like giardia and cryptosporidium, plus VOCs, pharmaceuticals and more.
