By: Maggie Irish

In the search for cleaner water at home, Aquasana’s whole home filtration systems make clean, healthy water easily accessible. If you’re considering whole home filtration, all Aquasana systems offer comprehensive solutions that cater to every household’s unique needs. What sets Aquasana apart are the additional upgrades we offer. Each of these interchangeable components are designed to elevate your filtration experience and simplify maintenance. Read on to learn all about the different upgrades and accessories you can add to improve your home water filter system even further.

Pro-Grade Bypass Kit

Maintaining your whole house system is made easier with the brass fittings and valves that come with the Pro-Grade Bypass Kit. When the time comes to replace your filtration tank, the homeowner has the ability to bypass the system so they can replace the filter without having to shut off their water. With a simple valve turn, the home still has access to water while the tank gets swapped out.

Add a Salt-Free Water Conditioner

A Salt-Free Water Conditioner is an add-on that addresses hard water using Scale Control Media (SCM) technology to encourage calcium and magnesium to bond. This prevents hard water buildup from sticking to the interior of pipes, shower heads, and appliances. The dual tank system is designed to hook up seamlessly with the whole house water filter system. Additionally, the tank lasts 1,000,000 gallons or about 10 years, the same as the Rhino® filtration tanks. So replacement for these two tanks is at the same time, plus water pressure won’t be sacrificed.

UV filtration as a last line of defense

The UV Filter is a must-have for untreated or non-potable water. This automatically comes with the Rhino® Well Water System because well water has not been treated by the city. The Aquasana UV Filter sterilizes 99.99% of viruses and bacteria, and 99% of chlorine-resistant cysts.

Even with city water, the UV Filter can protect against bacteria, viruses, and cysts that resist municipal water treatment. Many cysts like cryptosporidium and giardia are chlorine-resistant, which means that when the city treats your water with chlorine or chloramines — these cysts continue to survive. The UV Filter can easily be added to an existing system with maintenance requiring a yearly bulb replacement.

Low-Maintenance Pre-Filter

Every Aquasana Rhino® system comes standard with a 20” Pre-Filter. Since water cycles through this pre-filter first, collecting rust, sediment, and silt, the filter must be replaced about every two months. Aquasana offers an enhanced 20” Pre-Filter that lasts three times longer than the standard pre-filter. This means fewer replacements to worry about.

From easy installation to upgrades you can add anytime, Aquasana’s whole house water filters can be customized to your specific needs and preferences. Shop now to learn how our upgradeable systems can help you improve water quality throughout your entire home.
