Ratings & Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great unit to replace my old one I needed to replace my outdated 2-stage GE filter which served under our kitchen sink for decades. Found this Aquasana Max Flow 3-stage to be a very nice replacement. It quite nearly fit the exact measurements of the outgoing one. Would recommend this particular model over the shorter cannister ones because of its faster flow capability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price - easy to install The installation of this filter was simple and easy to do. I am glad that I can replace the filters right under the kitchen sink. The water tastes great and the whole purchase was less than replacing filters on my old RO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reasonable filter. Great customer service Tempted to put much lower than 5 stars due to stubborn leaks. I had to replace one of the ‘sump caps’ twice (the first replacement ended up worse than the original). I also replaced the manifold. Fortunately, their customer service saved the day (actually I consider that it was all due to Amber). The prompts on the review process tell me to keep focused on the product and ‘avoid writing about customer service’. But I cannot separate the two. If my review is only about the product, then look elsewhere! There should not be this type of stubborn problem. I don’t like that I had to throw away two new sump caps even if they were replaced for free because I don’t like the idea of filling up my local landfill. But it was Amber that makes me happy with this product as she helped me troubleshoot where the leak was coming from and then got me sorted with the right parts. And now I have a good water filter system. I like the filtered water but as someone who worked in the drinking water industry several years ago, I’m one who believes that water filters such as these all have similar abilities to remove unwanted components.

Customer Q&A

I have the Aquasana app, but the percentage of the filter life isn't showing. My Bluetooth is on. Any suggestions? I changed the battery around, thinking the installer had it in wrong. Which way does the battery go?

Asked by: Sonata
Good luck with the bluetooth. I never got it to work. Now as for the filter, I love it and am on the automatic replacement program.

I recently just replaced my filters for the first time in my 3 stage filter system. Very easy to do but now my water pressure from my faucet is very weak. Any ideas? Thanks.

Asked by: Billy6698
There is a flow restriction valve in each of the canister heads. Why? Because you can unscrew the canister w/o a leak.  You need at least 40 psi of pressure for the water to pass. Sometimes the valves fail. I had to punch out my first filters valve to get it to flow. Now it flows great. But the canister will shoot out water if disconnected. I have to make sure the water is off and the pressure relieved before removing canisters now.  I recommend putting in a particulate filter before the Aquasana filters so the valves don’t get plugged/damaged.

Does this lower the TDS level in my water?

Asked by: SammyL
Scroll down to the AQUASANA FAQS, #8 8 WHAT DOES TDS MEAN? TDS is the acronym for Total Dissolved Solids, the amount of dissolved minerals and metals present in water. TDS meters tell you the concentration of dissolved minerals and metals, but are not an accurate measurement for contamination. Aquasana products reduce and remove harmful TDS like lead, but selectively retain or replace healthy dissolved solids like calcium, magnesium, and potassium. Hello! I’m interested in buying the three stage water filtration high flow system and wanted to ask if it wasted water to make water? I read that RO systems waste water, sometimes 1.5 gallon to 1 gallon drinkable. Hope to hear an answer and thanks!

FAQ
Aquasana FAQs
1. Do I have to pay for a plumber to install the system?
Our under sink drinking water filter systems are easy to install, and a plumber is not required. If you have any questions or need assistance, please call our Customer Support line at 877-996-2875. Or, follow the link below to our installation videos:
Claryum® 2-Stage and 3-Stage
Claryum® 3-Stage Max Flow
To install an under sink system, you can remove the existing sprayer or soap dispenser on your sink and install our faucet in its place. This option will not damage or permanently modify your plumbing. When you move out, you can easily remove the system and reconnect the plumbing back to normal. If you do not have an existing hole in your sink from a sprayer or soap dispenser, we recommend one of our countertop units, the Clean Water Machine or Claryum® Countertop. For an easy DIY under sink filter, our Claryum® Direct Connect attaches directly to your cold water line for clean, healthy water straight from your existing faucet.
The T-fitting supplied with our under sink systems is 3/8”.
The faucet that is included with our systems requires a 1/2" hole.
All Aquasana drinking water systems use the same patented Claryum® filtration technology. The difference between the under sink systems is the capacity and performance level.
Claryum® 2-Stage: 500 gallon capacity or up to 6 months.
Claryum® 3-Stage: 600 gallon capacity or up to 6 months. Includes 20 micron Pre-Filter.
Claryum® 3-Stage Max Flow: 800 gallons or up to 6 months. Includes Pre-Filter and a 44% increased flow rate.
Claryum Direct Connect: 784 gallons or up to 6 months.
We recommend changing the filter cartridges every 3 to 6 months, depending upon the specific filter gallon capacity. Regularly changing the filters prevents the growth of bacteria in the system and continues to deliver clean, healthy water. The filter capacity varies between each system:
Claryum® 2-Stage: 500 gallon capacity
Claryum® 3-Stage: 600 gallon capacity
Claryum® 3-Stage Max Flow: 800 gallon capacity
Claryum Direct Connect: 784 gallon capacity
To eliminate the hassle of remembering when to change your water filter, sign up for our auto-ship program, Water for Life®. Our no-contract program saves you 15% on filters, includes free shipping, extends your filter warranty.
Claryum® technology is a selective filtration process that uses sub-micron filtration, micron filtration, and adsorption. Together, these technologies reduce up to 99% of 77 contaminants from water while maintaining healthy minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium.
We recommend that you use the faucet provided with your purchase. We have extensively tested the system with the faucets included. The faucets are NSF tested and certified to contain no lead. In addition, they will not impart any unwanted chemicals into your water. If you choose to use another faucet, we recommend that you have a plumber install the system to ensure no leakage occurs. We also recommend that you install an NSF Certified faucet to ensure the health benefits of your new Aquasana water filter.
Due to the nature of the carbon blocks assembly and the contents of a used filter, the filters cannot be recycled.
No, this is not purified water, it is filtered water. Purified water undergoes reverse osmosis or distillation, which strips everything out of your water - not only the contaminants, but also the healthy, natural minerals. Our systems use selective filtration designed to reduce contaminants from the water and leave in the natural healthy minerals like calcium, potassium, and magnesium.
TDS, or Total Dissolved Solids, is the amount of dissolved minerals and metals present in water. TDS meters tell you the concentration of dissolved minerals and metals but are not an accurate measurement for contamination. Aquasana products reduce and remove harmful TDS like lead, but selectively retain or replace healthy dissolved solids like calcium, magnesium, and potassium. Read more about TDS here.
BPA stands for Bisphenol-A, a contaminant found in most plastics. BPA can adversely affect your health if consumed at high levels. Aquasana drinking systems do not contain BPA, and our filtration process reduces existing BPA.
No, hard water is not always considered contaminated. Most water sources in the USA are considered hard.
Hard water can be city water or well water meaning it may or may not be pre-treated. The minerals that make water "hard" are not considered contaminants, but hard water can still contain additional contaminants that are not safe for consumption.
Soft water is water that has either been treated by a water softener or naturally contains less hard minerals. The most recognizable trait of "soft" water is how much more soap lathers, as opposed to hard water.  Soap lathers less due to the higher concentration of minerals. Water softeners reduce the negative effects of dissolved minerals in water that can clump together and produce scale buildup.
Soft water does not mean clean water. Your water can be soft and still have contaminants present in the water.
Yes, soft water is considered potable. Drinking water from a sodium-based softener increases your daily intake of sodium, which can lead to health problems in sodium-sensitive individuals. Please keep in mind that a water softener is not a water filter. A water softener does not remove contaminants present in your water.
