Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish we had installed it years ago! Pretty easy to install. The water tastes great, and it is filtering out all the nasty stuff. What a savings over water delivery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenient Under the Sink Water Filter This is my third or fourth filter. (I don't even remember that.) I keep buying the same filter over and over again. People had issues with leakage of the replacement cartilages, so I have decided to keep buying a new all the time. I just wish they had an option to buy without a faucet as I have a collection of them now... :) The installation was very easy. The water filter is for under the sink, which is very practical for me. Also, it is easy to use and to control. The water tastes good. I can taste a difference in water quality. Very pleased with this water filter, and I will keep buying it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly Easy Installation And Easy To Use The quality of the water is comparable to a water de-hardener system, flavor is incredibly good unlike other systems that give you clean water but with a lousy taste! "NOTE, THERE ISN'T ANY PHOTOGRAPHS OR VIDEO BECAUSE I PAYED FOR THIS ITEM!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased I have been looking for an option to buying bottled water. After exploring water filer options, the triple filter system seemed to be a great solution as it was affordable and easy to install.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy I love this filter. My husband was installing it and got a phone call so I took over with my 10 year old. We got it done in about an hour including drilling the hole in the top of the sink. We read the instructions and also watched the video. I thought it was pretty easy. We monitored for leaks for a few days. The water is excellent. We could actually SMELL a difference with our blind taste test. The aquasauna water tastes like nothing. I am very pleased with this system. The brushed nickel matched our existing sink well. I use the water for drinking, cooking, coffee etc.

I've been buying bottled water for years and was looking for a more sustainable and cost friendly solution. Not only is it reasonably priced, but most importantly the water tastes super clean and delicious. It really makes drinking water more frequently easy!

Customer Q&A

How can I install this system for water dispenser on countertop and to the ice maker line to refrigerator?

Asked by: Deb In Florida
You can go to your local hardware store and get another fitting just like the one Aquasana sent you with your install kit. Install that fitting right on top of the fitting you installed from Aquasana then hook up the service line to your counter top dispenser. Now you have a place for the water line that feeds your filters and the water line that feeds your refrigerator. I hope I made this clear. Glad to help.

Can the faucet head turn from side to side or complete 360 to move it out of the way when doing dishes and things?

Asked by: Meredith
We move ours gently side to side. We are unable to turn it 360 so I don’t know if you can. My mother had one and when she moves it quickly back and forth it tends to loosen.

What micron are the filters

Asked by: Donna D
Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us. The 3-Stage system includes a 20-micron pre-filter before the two Aquasana Claryum® filters. This pre-filter increases the capacity of the system from 500 gallons to 600 gallons. In addition, it improves the flow rate in high sediment areas. If you have any further questions feel free to contact us at 866-662-6885. Thank you, Aquasana Customer Support

We needed a plumber to install the 3 stage under the sink model due to connecting to the fridge . Also it did not fit well under our sink do to pipes  and disposal. Difficult to reach now. Any solutions? Future smaller filters?

Asked by: Lauralee
MrEPH , thank you. We did try to install it on the opposite side of the disposal but there was not enough room due to the size of the filters . It had to be placed on the back panel underneath the sink which makes it extremely difficult to reach and change.  I was hoping since I’m not the only one with a complaint about the inability to fit , that they would come up with a more sleek fitting unit that is more universal for most “all” sinks. Ours isn’t extremely small underneath, and our home is only about 14 yrs old.. the filter cylinders with 3 in a row are just too deep and wide. It’s doable, but especially after needing a plumber to properly cut the lines to attach to the fridge, ( the warranty originally stated that if modified for this purpose a plumber should be used to keep the warranty intact) after that cost, the last thing we want is a lesser functioning counter unit, like the company answered on my question

I have a buzzing noise coming from the system under the sink. It has three filters red, black and yellow. How do I make noise stop?

Asked by: Ms Mee
I know it has an alarm for filter replacement. I have never had mine go into alarm but you might pull the battery out of the upper filter housing and see if it stops. If so then it wants you to change the filters.

Dear Aquasana support, Is it necessary  to shut off water supply for filter replacement? This is for 5300 system.  Thank you in advance.

Asked by: Artak
Hello, Thank you for your question. Yes. It is absolutely necessary to shut off the cold water valve under the kitchen sink before replacing the filters. This will release the pressure from the system by turning on the filtration system faucet. Once there is no longer any water coming from the filtration system faucet, you will be ready to change the filters If you have any other questions or concerns, you may also contact us directly at 866-662-6885, Monday thru Friday from 8 am-6 pm CST, and weekends from 9 am-5 pm CST. -Aquasana

Aquasana FAQs
1. Do I have to pay for a plumber to install the system?
Our under sink drinking water filter systems are easy to install, and a plumber is not required. If you have any questions or need assistance, please call our Customer Support line at 877-996-2875. Or, follow the link below to our installation videos:
Claryum® 2-Stage and 3-Stage
Claryum® 3-Stage Max Flow
To install an under sink system, you can remove the existing sprayer or soap dispenser on your sink and install our faucet in its place. This option will not damage or permanently modify your plumbing. When you move out, you can easily remove the system and reconnect the plumbing back to normal. If you do not have an existing hole in your sink from a sprayer or soap dispenser, we recommend one of our countertop units, the Clean Water Machine or Claryum® Countertop. For an easy DIY under sink filter, our Claryum® Direct Connect attaches directly to your cold water line for clean, healthy water straight from your existing faucet.
The T-fitting supplied with our under sink systems is 3/8”.
The faucet that is included with our systems requires a 1/2" hole.
All Aquasana drinking water systems use the same patented Claryum® filtration technology. The difference between the under sink systems is the capacity and performance level.
Claryum® 2-Stage: 500 gallon capacity or up to 6 months.
Claryum® 3-Stage: 600 gallon capacity or up to 6 months. Includes 20 micron Pre-Filter.
Claryum® 3-Stage Max Flow: 800 gallons or up to 6 months. Includes Pre-Filter and a 44% increased flow rate.
Claryum Direct Connect: 784 gallons or up to 6 months.
We recommend changing the filter cartridges every 3 to 6 months, depending upon the specific filter gallon capacity. Regularly changing the filters prevents the growth of bacteria in the system and continues to deliver clean, healthy water. The filter capacity varies between each system:
Claryum® 2-Stage: 500 gallon capacity
Claryum® 3-Stage: 600 gallon capacity
Claryum® 3-Stage Max Flow: 800 gallon capacity
Claryum Direct Connect: 784 gallon capacity
To eliminate the hassle of remembering when to change your water filter, sign up for our auto-ship program, Water for Life®. Our no-contract program saves you 15% on filters, includes free shipping, extends your filter warranty.
Claryum® technology is a selective filtration process that uses sub-micron filtration, micron filtration, and adsorption. Together, these technologies reduce up to 99% of 77 contaminants from water while maintaining healthy minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium.
We recommend that you use the faucet provided with your purchase. We have extensively tested the system with the faucets included. The faucets are NSF tested and certified to contain no lead. In addition, they will not impart any unwanted chemicals into your water. If you choose to use another faucet, we recommend that you have a plumber install the system to ensure no leakage occurs. We also recommend that you install an NSF Certified faucet to ensure the health benefits of your new Aquasana water filter.
Due to the nature of the carbon blocks assembly and the contents of a used filter, the filters cannot be recycled.
No, this is not purified water, it is filtered water. Purified water undergoes reverse osmosis or distillation, which strips everything out of your water - not only the contaminants, but also the healthy, natural minerals. Our systems use selective filtration designed to reduce contaminants from the water and leave in the natural healthy minerals like calcium, potassium, and magnesium.
TDS, or Total Dissolved Solids, is the amount of dissolved minerals and metals present in water. TDS meters tell you the concentration of dissolved minerals and metals but are not an accurate measurement for contamination. Aquasana products reduce and remove harmful TDS like lead, but selectively retain or replace healthy dissolved solids like calcium, magnesium, and potassium. Read more about TDS here.
BPA stands for Bisphenol-A, a contaminant found in most plastics. BPA can adversely affect your health if consumed at high levels. Aquasana drinking systems do not contain BPA, and our filtration process reduces existing BPA.
No, hard water is not always considered contaminated. Most water sources in the USA are considered hard.
Hard water can be city water or well water meaning it may or may not be pre-treated. The minerals that make water "hard" are not considered contaminants, but hard water can still contain additional contaminants that are not safe for consumption.
Soft water is water that has either been treated by a water softener or naturally contains less hard minerals. The most recognizable trait of "soft" water is how much more soap lathers, as opposed to hard water.  Soap lathers less due to the higher concentration of minerals. Water softeners reduce the negative effects of dissolved minerals in water that can clump together and produce scale buildup.
Soft water does not mean clean water. Your water can be soft and still have contaminants present in the water.
Yes, soft water is considered potable. Drinking water from a sodium-based softener increases your daily intake of sodium, which can lead to health problems in sodium-sensitive individuals. Please keep in mind that a water softener is not a water filter. A water softener does not remove contaminants present in your water.
